HADRIAN'S WALL has been commonly considered simply as a series of military installations along an 80 mile wall of stone and erected to enforce Roman rule. What is more interesting to note, though, and the reason for the name of this banner exchange, is that soldiers garrisoned along the wall came from as far away as Hungary and North Africa. In essence, Hadrian's Wall became a type of multi-national zone, whose people had brought with them many different customs, languages and religions.
